Before entering private practice in New York, Helena spent years on both sides of the criminal justice system in Germany, including experience within the Munich DA’s Office, where she gained firsthand insight into how the government builds and presents its cases.

She first specialized in white-collar criminal defense, handling complex fraud, tax crimes, and corporate misconduct matters, including internal investigations for international clients. Her work in white-collar matters is defined by a meticulous attention to detail. Lately, Helena broadened her expertise into violent felony matters, especially domestic violence, sex crimes, and gun crimes cases.
