Removal proceedings based on a drug conviction Immigration Court in New York Timeline: ~1 Year	The Stakes: Client was facing deportation and separation from his family. The result was critical as the client’s wife struggles with serious health issues, and he has two young children to care for. The Strategy: Defense counsel won cancellation of removal through a full application and merits hearing complete with evidence and testimony. When the government appealed, counsel filed a petition for habeas corpus to secure the client’s freedom despite stacked odds.	We won cancellation of removal. The government appealed, but we secured our client’s freedom via habeas corpus; the odds are against them and the client is free.
Deportation Immigration Court and the SDNY Federal District Court Timeline: ~10 Months	The Stakes: Client would have been separated from his US Citizen wife and children, who depend on him and have health issues. The Strategy: Defense counsel represented the client in removal proceedings across the Immigration Court and SDNY Federal District Court to block deportation and defend lawful residency.	The BIA has appealed our victory, but our client is free and his green card remains intact.
Naturalization Application USCIS – 26 Federal Plaza Timeline: ~3 Months	The Stakes: Possible deportation based on criminal record. The Strategy: Formulated and litigated an appeal challenging an initial naturalization denial stemming from past criminal history.	We appealed a naturalization denial and won, client is now a US citizen.
